You Seriously Just Did That?

I was just on Facebook, and there was post from a friend at my old school bragging that they had just hacked the school's internet and got onto facebook. I couldn't help but laugh. I looked on their friends list, and sure enough, they are friends with not only the dean of women, but the president of the school as well!

If you're going to try to do something you're not, keep your trap shut until WELL AFTER you got away with it! I mean, there's stuff I've done that I've yet to tell people about. It's nothing bad, just clean fun. In fact, I think I'll spill the beans now. It's been all too long.

• "borrowed" the dean of mens golf cart after school one time. drove to the lockers and back, parked it right where I picked it up.
• One time when my parents were out of town on a trip, my friend was up, and we were facebooking. He/she said they wanted some In-N-Out. I agreed. He/she ended up driving all the way out to my house (30 minutes from town), and brought me a chocolate milkshake at 1AM. We ended up hanging outside on the back deck just talking about stuff. We never did anything stupid, just sat, talked, and drank milkshakes.
• hacked the PC system myself at school. Downloaded 3 CD's and checked my facebook/twitter/Micechat.
• snuck out of the house a few times to go get a soda down at the 7-11.

Some people just don't get the fact that in order to get away with things, you need to keep your mouth shut.

The Tide's Are Changing...

Coincidentally, I decide to watch Pirates 3 tonight...after the film I check
Blue Sky Disney, and low and behold, Honor Hunter has an update...
this time, about the cast of Pirates Four. Great read on what to expect from the main characters. I can not wait to see yet another installment in this series, and if Disney ends up making a channel directed towards boys, I'd hope that they make a rather legitimate series on the tales of the boyish Jack Sparrow. But that's a long shot from now, and far reaching dreams.

What a Colorful Date

It's official. The wonderful World of Color is set to debut June 11th We all kind of figured it would, since the Nightastic events officially kick off that day. The summer fireworks show Magical will be above the skies at Disneyland, while the little sister park gets to have the new toy. Unfortunately, the Electrical Parade is not here this summer, as it's traveling across the nation to the swamplands of Florida to alleviate a small bit of stress of having a nighttime parade, and the WoC. Crowds are still going to be a problem though, and Disney's going to have a lot of fun playing "Cattle herd" with 9,000+ guests cramming in Paradise Park and Paradise Pier to see this aquatic wonder. Here's hoping they can find the best possible way to work out moving people around before and after shows.

Out With the Rough, In With The Smooth...hopefully.

Looks like the Matterhorn is getting new trains. I took a quick shot of one (without realizing what it was) while in line last Saturday, and last night, a photo leaked of one on the track untarped. The untarped photo is via @mousewait's Twitter, and the tarped photo is mine.

It looks like the new trains are going to be single seating, and have a lapbar. I personally like this, as I enjoy riding by myself for the most part. But for the people who love the intimacy of riding close to the ones they wish to protect against the yeti, well, they're going to be a little upset. Overall, they look really nice, and I can't wait to see if they help smooth out the rough patches on the ride.

The New (old) Park.

Went to Disneyland yesterday with the Family. Had a lot of fun, seeing that my old school's choir was in the area preforming, and then spending the rest of the day at Disneyland. First off, I had to walk back to the car to get my mom's phone, and the whole group was on the tram, and about 20 people screamed at me, and then my friend Ryan ran and gave me a pretty big hug. Gotta love that dude. The day was really fun, and I'm going to plan a trip sometime soon with a bunch of people to spend a FULL day down there, possibly from opening to closing. The group had to leave @ 7, so after they left, my family and I went over to DCA to check out the new stuff going on. Paradise Park is definitely going to be one of my favorite areas in the park. It officially opened today, except for the lowest tier (one closest to the water, with the wooden boardwalk). The overall area is just really nice, and mellow. The earthy brown tones of the groundwork, and the light structures, mixed with the green railings, and the soon-to-be lush vegitation growing in is going to be an awesome place to be.

What a Day For a Day Dream...

I wrote this awhile back, while waiting for my table at a rather busy Chili's on a friday night. It just kinda came to me, and I started to save it as a draft on my phone. It's kind of a wish, and hope for love in the future to be something like this.


I miss the beach. I want to feel the cold pacific surround me as I get barreled.
I want that sticky feeling of dried saltwater, and my hair all a mess because I left my hat at home.
I want the smell of a great seafood place right off the beach, tempting me with it's salty, buttery aromas.

But, then, there's the girl.

The one riding the waves alongs side me.
The one running her fingers through my mop of what I call a hairstyle.
The one who's holding my hand, playing with my fingers as we walk up to that great seafood restaurant...all the while, me thinking, "why did she pick me, of all guys?"
The one girl who takes me 45 minutes to kiss her goodnight because we're talking too much..
..and then spending another three hours talking on the phone, until she falls alseep on the other end of the line.
This, is when I realize, life could not get any better.

Girls

Y'know, girls are funny little things. They can suck you in with a bat of the eyelashes, and then whip you away and never look back. I've struck out, fouled out, and grounded out more than I ever have lately. First there was the break up and fight between a friend and that girlfriend. Then there was getting stood up at the beach, and then now there was the girl that decided to bring another dude to the show.

I'm a simple man, with simple likes and dislikes. And I'm finding it kinda hard to find what I want in a girl in high school, especially in a place where all the girls know each other somehow, and the only time they get a long is when they're talking about their current boyfriend and how much of a jerk he was/is, and who needs to break up with who.

I'm tired of having to run around the block to get to know someone because they "like me" too much, and "don't know what to say around me". Look, I'm a chill guy, I really don't care what we talk about, as long as the other person contributes to it, instead of me pining for questions and subject topics.

Is it too much to ask for a girl that's a devout Christian, not into drama, likes me for me, wants to wear my sweatshirt just so she can think of me when I'm not there, and knows how to enjoy life? I could go on, but that's for another potential post.

The Wonders of the Techno World.

After a great service (as always) at Relevant, we had a pretty fun conversation on the way home, and I really don't know how it all got started, but it was pretty cool. We started talking about the future of technology, and how things will be different over time. These are all just dream ideas, and if they're in the works, then awesome! We're not going to file a lawsuit against Mac for idea theft or anything. :P

What are home movies going to be like in the future?
We came up with an idea of tiny, 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch USB - like device that contains the movie, and bonus features, etc. You would simply plug it in, and it'd either be viewable like a regular film would be, or, could download to your television's memory bank, and the USB device could be stored away. It'd be like a digital copy you already get with DVD's.
That's the little idea we were talking about, haha.
I've got to get back to blogging more. I haven't really thought of anything to blog about. I've got blogger's block. ;) If you have an idea, please, do leave a comment of your idea, and I'll probably write about it.

Um, of Umbridge.

Went and saw Alice in Wonderland last night. I have got to say, this is a really awesome film. I already liked it from the trailer, but I liked it even more after seeing it all. The newcomer Mia Wasikowska was great as Alice, and Johnny Depp was phenomenal as the Hatter. There actually was a story to follow this time! I've always seen the classic Disney film as just Alice's dream, but within that dream, just scenes with really nice fades between the scenes. Tim's Alice in Wonderland has a well developed story. Alice is a 19 year old who is stuck between wanting to still be a child, but forced to grow up. Now, I'm not going to bring in a lot of details for those of you who havent' seen it yet. She falls through the rabbit hole, and is immersed in this war between the red and white queens. The story from here, is just fun, and really well written, even just for a fun dreamy film. The graphics were really awesome. I know some will trip out with me saying this, but I almost liked Alice's graphics more than Avatar. I liked Avatar for the new technology, and welcome the new technology with open arms. However, Avatar lacked a deep story, and was just pretty on the top. Alice had a great story, with a world that perfectly matched that story. Think of it this way. Avatar was a shallow supermodel. Beautiful on the outside, raw and boring on the inside. Whereas Alice in Wonderland was you're normal, cute girl. Pretty on the outside, and pretty on the inside too. I'd love to see Tim Burton make a "sequel" to this, and go back to Alice's first visit to Wonderland. Heck, I'd love to see this dude do a live action version of Sleeping Beauty. Only one can dream..and hope it becomes a reality.

Chatting with the Mice.

Gosh...I've had a LOT of fun posting back and forth on the Lounge boards this past week. Here's the link to the thread, and if you've got time on your hands, I'd suggest reading it. It's rather humorous in parts.

I start out asking if anyone has ever been "hit" on at Disneyland, and we all go off on a total tangent about anything and everything. It's probably the funnest thread I've gotten to be a part of yet.
