Life in the Fast Lane

Man life has been insane lately. After D23 Last weekend, I got home, did stuff around the house Sunday, and then once Monday landed, I hit the ground running and haven't stopped much, if at all since. So here's a re-cap of the week for me:

Monday: Woke up, drove to Taft, picked up my books, drove to work, had work from 9-2, then back out to Taft for the first college classes of the semester. Had classes from 3-8, drove home, worked on homework until 12:30, and crashed around 1am.

Tuesday: Worked a long shift, scared one of my co-workers by standing in front of a door with a small window. All I did was crouch at the window so all she saw was from my nose to the top of my head, and as she rounded the corner to walk through the door, she totally freaked out. Had the rest of my co-workers in stitches from the little prank.

Wednesday - Work and School. nothing really exciting.

Thursday - Was supposed to have the day off from work, but ended up covering a shift for someone. Didn't really mind, because it means more money for me.

Friday - Great day! Worked from 12-5, and then had Karaoke with my co-workers later that night. After I got off my shift, I ran over and killed two hours before the work party, and saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Thought it was good, but a bit slow. Granted, it's understandable, considering it has to explain how the apes become intelligent. Overall, it was just 'alright' for me. Not a movie I'd pay to see again at the Box Office, but would consider renting a few times.

And now for the high light of the week.

After the movie I ran over to Starbucks, grabbed an iced coffee and drove over to the restaurant. I pull up to the restaurant, grab my button up shirt from the backseat, and let my car run so I can still listen to music as I button up my shirt standing outside my car. WELL, this is literally something you can't write. As I get my arms through the shirt, I happen to RE-LOCK my car door. You also must know that my car door is really stupid and closes on its own. as I get my shirt buttoned up...the door shuts.

I turn around to open my door again, assuming its still unlocked.

I now realize that it's locked.

And running.

With my stereo blasting my friday night party playlist.

So, I run inside the restaurant, ask my manager for her phone, call my parents (who were cross-town at a fantasy football draft), and tell them. My mom just starts laughing on the other end of the line.

Well, everyone inside at this point knows what is going on, and Megan and Destin, two of my co-workers who I'm good friends with come out and wait with me. (major thanks to them for waiting outside with me. It was still a good 85-90 degrees outside at 8:30pm)

My parents come over, we get AAA to unlock the car, and I proceed with my night. But geez, it was definitely one of the dumbest things I've ever done, and I'm humbly posting this, because there was a lot of text messages I was getting friday night asking if it really happened.

And now on Sunday, I'm polishing up my first week of college homework, and trying to figure out what to do for dinner. My life is never a dull moment, and I love every minute of it.

Flying By At the Speed of Light

I really should be blogging more. I've been up to a lot, but I guess since I've been up to doing a lot, that leaves little time to actually post about it. So...here's a update, and I'll try to blog more frequently, because, y'know, people like reading this. I think.

New Car

Free Car? Check.

My aunt got a new car, and since I need a set of wheels for college, she gave me her car! All I have to do is keep my grades up and not get any tickets, and I can keep it. I love this thing already. It's a little beat up, but it's really rad. Plus it gets decent MPG.

The Princess and Her Castle
Imagination and Playtime? Check.

Knowing people really helps sometimes. We got Hannah a play set for her fourth birthday, and she's been outside playing on it nonstop now! We know the owners who distribute these, so we got an awesome deal on it.

RIO!

3D Birds? Blue Sky made a good movie!? Whaaa?

Finally broke down and went to see Rio. I must say, it's really good. I usually don't go to the movies to see a animated film outside Pixar because I don't feel it's worth my $10. BUT this one caught my eye, and I was getting nothing but positive reviews from friends. It was definitely worth it for me. I'd suggest seeing it.

Hannah's Birthday

We went out to Elephant Bar to celebrate Hannah's Fourth Birthday. She's so awesome. I'm blessed to have such an amazing little sister. I'm still amazed she's been with us for three years now. But I can't help but wonder what her birth mom is thinking every time this year. It's a sobering thought, really.

College!
I'm now officially signed up for Junior College, and am going to get my basics out of the way, then transfer to a UC or CSU school down south and possibly major in film, minor in communications, or even double major in both. Not totally sure yet. But what I AM sure about is that I'm two years away from getting out of Kern County. Here's to it going by faster than I expect.

On Stranger Screenings

I'm three days away from getting into this really rad premiere! It's going to be an amazing time, and I can't wait to go. If you have a twitter account, follow me (click on the orange and blue twitter box on the right to go to my page) if you want a live tweet-cast from the red....er....black carpet. If not, then I'll try to post photos on here via my blogpress iPhone app.

On top of all this, there's been some asking about relationships...and there's no girl on the scene right now. Still single. There, answer your question? Cool.

Alright, I'm off to go to practice for my behind the wheel test.

Hope you've enjoyed the speedy update of things. I promise to try to blog more.
And if you liked this, or just want to be nice, please get the word out, share my site on your facebook, twitter, tumblr, and (for the three of you that still use it) Myspace.

One Thousand And Counting

Wow, I'm impressed! One thousand hits in eight days. I know some nerd somewhere might be laughing quietly, saying to himself and his limited edition World of Warcraft models, "One thousand hits in eight days, ha! I had a thousand hits in eight minutes!" There's always that guy...

...anyways. I'm glad this little blog of mine has gotten to a thousand hits in eight days (compared to 735, my previous all time high in January), and I hope to someday see it get a thousand hits in a day. I'm happy people are taking note of this little corner of the internet, and reading what I have to type. I don't think it's much, just my thoughts and opinions on Disney stuff, cool cars, girls, the life of a teenager, potential Starbucks or Sports Chalet employee, and whatever else I find interesting to talk...er...type about.

Thank you again to everyone that has chilled at the Main Street Hangout. I really appreciate it.
